Private Pay Option
Meadows Counseling has a private pay option, which means I do not bill insurance directly for the session. This allows us to focus on your care without the limitations or required diagnoses that often come with insurance plans. You may still be able to use out-of-network benefits, and I’m happy to provide a “superbill” upon request for potential reimbursement.
Fees: $150/ 50 min session
I believe therapy should be accessible to all, and for this reason offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments. Please inquire if needed.
Using Out of Network Benefits: What to Ask Your Insurance Provider
If you'd like to use your out-of-network benefits for therapy, here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance company:
Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
Is telehealth (online therapy) covered for out-of-network providers?
Do I need to meet a deductible first? If so, what is it?
What percentage of each session is reimbursed after the deductible is met?
Are there any limits on the number of sessions per year?
What documentation do I need to submit for reimbursement?
I’m happy to provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
What to Expect
Therapy sessions last 50 minutes. Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and any important background that helps me understand your story.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, but bi-weekly sessions are also common. We will discuss what’s best for you at the first session.
Virtual Therapy
I offer virtual therapy throughout the state of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
